Imagine a poor fuck that takes 50grand in loans for ITT. There are people that come out of Ivy league colleges with that debt load, assuming they got some scholarships. Lucky if you can clear 30K after ITT tech.
Thats even fucking sadder. I bring my oil to valvoline and I was bullshitting with the guy there and he told me he was a wyotech grad with good grades. He fucking changes fluids and does state inspections on cars. Probably $10/hr if he is lucky. He practically has tears in his eyes when he says what he owes.

You can get a master's in computer science from University of Illinois - a top 10 CS school - and do it all online for about $25K. And you will
make a lot more than $15/hr when you graduate.
In CA, of all places, there are a bazillion community colleges under $50/credit. Most have all sorts of different assistance programs as well that can drop that to under $10/credit or FREE. If you take the right classes you can get 2 years of fully transferable credits for under $5,000, in addition to an associates degree.
Then transfer to a cheap uni, finish out the next 2 years and get your bachelors....
Why would anyone attend an expensive for-profit school like U of Phoenix when they could go to CC?
Maybe because the for-profit schools are pretending they are going to teach you something that's not offered at your local CC.
Not all the CCs offer everything you want. If you want to learn welding, my local CC has an excellent program. But they don't seem to be so great for web development.
Also, CC educations are pitched differently. You don't see ads with lots of happy graduates in suits beavering away in their lucrative new careers. CCs don't advertise at all.
I graduated wyotech on 12-19-08. As for as I'm concerned it was a waste of time and money. I learned some things but it was not even close to worth the money or hassle. It's nothing but a bunch of built up hype. All lies and ALOT of money. They don't do anything for you. They treat you like kids. Do alot of research before you decide on going. Make sure you know exactly what your getting into. DON'T GO TO WYOTECH!!!
this one reads like a fake review:
WyoTech helped me make my dreams come true! The school teaches you everything you need to know about basic and advanced mechanics, with tons of specialties like street rod customization. All of the classes are very hands-on so you're learning by doing, and by graduating in less than two years I'm already on my way in a great career.

I've seen some CC commercials - they seem to have a low production budget, maybe done in house by students.
The for-profit ones are slick and flashy looking, done by a real ad agency.

WyoTech claims to help you find a job after you graduate, this is not true. I graduated from the Daytona, FL campus and recieved no help in finding a job close to my home town. They called me with one job opening about 1000 miles from home, but how was i too even consider moving there when i had no income what so ever? Its not like a young person with limited savings can make that move. I graduated in 2008, soon after graduation I found the total amount for the loans (this is how you spell "lone" Mike G) was 43,000 dollars (not including intrest) and the total monthly payment is 1000 dollars! Long story short you can spend the same kind of money over the course of 4 years (rather than 9 months) at a university and get a degree! Thanks so much Wyo Tech for screwing me big time and keeping me from qualifying for a mortgage! I have taken this time to write this review because i can not afford these debts and i regret this deeply!

You can buy an old $500 car and a factory service manual, auto theory books, join some message boards and learn almost the same as wyotech.
You will have a cheap car too. I know more than a dealership mechanic when I work on my car.
